During your first visit, a crew member will walk you through our facility orientation and go over our rules that help mitigate risk.

*Please note that we request at least one adult per three children to actively supervise (i.e. correcting & enforcing rules, etc)

What is bouldering?

A signed waiver.

A form of entry (day pass, multi-visit pass, guest pass, membership, etc).

Complete a facility orientation with a Crew Member on-site.

Climbing shoes (Don’t have any? No problem, we have rentals).

Last but not least, a positive attitude!

It is a common assumption that you need tons of upper body strength to be able to climb, and we would like to assure you that is not the case. Your legs will get you further than you think!
Is this good for young kids?
All ages are welcome! Keep in mind that we are not a ‘kid-centric’ facility, similar to something like a trampoline park. We have strict insurance guidelines we must follow, and therefore need children to follow the rules.

As long as they weigh at least 35lbs, then we have an option for them at our auto belay area. Depending on their height, they could be able to do some bouldering as well.

Parents must directly and continuously supervise their child(ren) for the duration of the visit.

We have crew members that help correct behavior and work with parents/kids on following the facility rules. This is to help limit risk, and we appreciate your help with this.

What is bouldering?
Bouldering is a form of rock climbing that does not involve the use of ropes or harnesses. Bouldering focuses on climbing “routes”, also referred to as “problems”, on shorter walls.

In BlocHaven we recommend starting with our red (V0) climbs, which are the most accessible when starting out.

Reminder: Every fall is a ground fall when bouldering. The landing surfaces are there to help limit risk, but do not completely eliminate risk.
